Strengthening Investment Promotion by Diplomats

On 29 May 2026, Her Excellency CHRING Botum Rangsay, Secretary of State and High Representative of His Excellency PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, presided over the briefing session entitled “Investment Presentation for Cambodian Diplomats,” organized by the Economic Diplomacy Coordinating Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), at the Ministry. The briefing was conducted in a hybrid format, featuring a presentation by His Excellency LOR Tithchansopheak, Advisor to the CDC, and attended by approximately 100 Cambodian diplomats from both the headquarters and overseas missions.

The briefing session was organized with the objective of enhancing diplomats’ understanding, particularly those serving at Cambodian missions abroad, of Cambodia’s new Law on Investment, the country’s investment and trade environment, investment incentives, tax exemptions, investment potential, and key considerations in attracting foreign investors to Cambodia, with a view to further strengthening the implementation of economic diplomacy by Cambodian missions abroad.
